Title: Centennial shrink-wrap
Post by: sgrizzle on November 12, 2006, 08:39:12 PM
The last two weekends there have been a lot of prep work and practice for upcoming festivities. It looks like they are covering several downtown high-rises in white.. plastic? I saw them projecting light shows on those buildings.

Anyone got any details?

I read this as well.... Having a bit of a problem understanding what they mean by "historical images"

Are these going to be holographs or what..

Hopefully Tay does not have a way to put his holograph up...[}:)]

My understanding is that it's a reflective film over the windows to increase the contrast of the projections.

Also, while not downtown, Zingo was lit tonight -- looked a bit ghostly all by itself.

Just my luck that I have to go to a wedding in KC this weekend and will miss the show. :(

The video is a history of the state, including a segment on American Indians and music with an Oklahoma theme. The downtown skyline will be the stage for the show, including fireworks launched from buildings, laser systems, searchlights and close-proximity and aerial pyrotechnics.
