Title: CSI's Crime Lab in Limbo
Post by: Johnboy976 on November 01, 2006, 09:42:23 PM
Here is some disconcerting news:

Can't they sacrifice the hiring of several police officers to get the proper staff for the DNA lab?

Or even some interns or the like might be of some help.  Seems like there'd be a lot of takers for that glamorous type field.

And don't forget to blame Clinton, too, Cubs since the blame game is all you're about and Clinton wasn't a Republican either. While yer at it, you might want to take advantage of this opportunity to blame Shirley Franklin too. She's the mayor of Atlanta and she's a DEMOCRAT.

Didn't they say OKC had like 5 or 6 DNA lab techs to Tulsa's 1.

2 more are in training but that seems pretty inefficient. Can we just get one from key temp or something?

I saw that story last night, and I was surprised the lab can only do 36 tests a month.  Is that due to equipment and testing supplies, or due to man/woman power?

It's the man/woman power. I'm pretty sure that the lab size is comparable to OKC's (although it wouldn't shock me if that was smaller as well). The fact of the matter is that while they have established a larger police force, they are falling behind in so many other things. Besides which, what are they declaring as "highest priority" in the lab? Rape, murder...? Or are they doing everything "as it comes in?" I fear for women who have been raped and then have to wait eight months for the government to resolve the dilemma. What if the guy gets out on bail?

sgrizzzle........... This first became an issue when the CSI lady spoke up regarding the Tulsa Lab possibly losing it's credentials... Back during the "Big Boppers" days in office..
If Taylor has two in training... that is twice as many new CSI's that she feels we need than the "Bopper Guy"... He felt it was under control...

Besides... I called Keytemp.. They want more for their CSI's than the budget will allow..

I've got an idea. Let's do a little tax raising. The Channels are a certain bust, and we've heard enough of how unsafe Tulsa is. We really have to make a move towards the better.

Well, his plan for moving Tulsa up the safest cities list was something along the lines of getting people to report fewer crimes, you know, rather than having fewer crimes.

Worst Mayor Ever?

Nah, we've decided empty seats in a new arena are more important than more police, prosecutors, and jails.
