The lottery was expected to generate $62 million for education during the last fiscal year that

ended June 30. However, it ended up providing about $68 million.

Burrrp. It was an estimate Cubs. You want to hang him on that? Actually, this is the only thing you and I agree on Cubs. The lottery is not my kind of thing. I think it is debasing and unseemly for the government to prey on its people this way. But the rank and file wanted it, they enjoy it, and education profits from it. Happy anniversary.

When I win the lottery, I am going to upgrade my social circles and prove you can buy class.

I've had my eye on this velvet painting of Elvis playing cards with a bunch of dogs. I also want to redecorate my garage with some NASCAR accessories and get that mullet haircut for my dog.

These fine things take money and the only way I can afford it is to invest a dollar two times a week in the Powerball.

And another thing, when I win, I don't know any of ya'll.

RM- If you won a big powerball, you could OWN a NASCAR team and outfit the entire crew with mullets. [:D]

I've never had a problem with the concept of a lottery.  I figure if all the surrounding states have it, we might as well.  There were lots of "pools" going to Kansas to buy numbers when the jackpots would get high before Okla. had it.

It's purely voluntary, and it looks like it's put $78 mil into education coffers without being a manditory tax.
