Title: Buh- Bye to the Ford Glass Plant
Post by: Johnboy976 on October 02, 2006, 12:53:14 AM
The Ford Glass Plant is cutting plant activity altogether. Hopefully there is a company out there willing to buy out the plant. Either way, for now 500 jobs with a median pay scale of 60-70,000 are gone.

If I'm not mistaken, it's been sold before to Visteon, then re-purchased by Ford.  Seems like Visteon couldn't make it profitable as a stand-alone plant.

^plus an ice scating rink and a sledding/toboggan ride in the summer and fall with a Holiday/old timey European shopping village theme around the rink.  Then right after Christmas turn it into an indoor pool with water slides having an "islands" theme around the pool for during those winter months.
