Good deal. This is actually the third time I have heard a similar comment from a band. Tulsa is starting to get a great reputation for small venue performances (which are more fun anyway).

I just received my copy of Paste Magazine (//%22http://www.pastemagazine.com/%22) in the mail, and it has a feature on the top 40 live music venues in the U.S. Right there -- among the Fillmore, Red Rocks, First Ave., and the 40 Watt -- is our own Cain's Ballroom. It's not posted online yet, but I'm sure it will be soon.

I was at Rufus's concert where they met. It was supposed to be at Zink Lake but was rained out so they moved it to the Brady...
It was pretty cool to hear a song written about a concert I'd been to. It made me smile :-).
This year's DFest might be the spark that makes the powder keg that is Tulsa's music scene explode. I hope Tulsa can become a place where artists and musicians flock to so they can test their metal, earn that big break, refine their skills, reinvent themselves or explore new frontiers in their medium.

There's going to be a new live music club open up on 1st Street (where the old dueling piano bar used to be) just in time for DFest. I think it's going to be called Exit 6C or something like that. They want to bring in national and regional touring acts nearly every night of the week. The layout of the place looks very promising -- huge stage. Could end up being a good deal for the Tulsa music scene and the Blue Dome district.
