Attention Deficit Disorder Forum
09-12-2005 12:29 PM
(Oklahoma City, OK) -- A forum on Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is taking place tomorrow in Oklahoma City. It's in conjunction with National ADD Awareness Day designated by Congress. Health officials say the chronic neurological disorder can cause failure in school for children, and failure at work for adults. The condition remains under-diagnosed, and it's likely that less than one-half of children and adults with the disorder are getting treatment. Tuesday's forum will be in the Spencer Conference Room at Deaconess Hospital at 7 p.m. Featured speakers will include a psychiatrist, psychologist, developmental pediatrician, and an educator. A question-and-answer session will follow.<
