I believe the news report I heard on KRMG this morning said that so far this summer 4 children have died because they were left in cars with the windows rolled up.
In that same newscast, I actually heard an "expert" giving "reasons" why this happens. They cited "reasons" such as hectic schedules, busy lives, and so forth; but no where was the term "irresponsible" used.
There may be some who think I am being too narrow-minded and non-forgiving, but I just do not see how it is possible to "forget" that a child is in your car.
Folks - when you have a kid in the car - PUH-LEEZE - see to it they are safe, and remove them when you get to your destination. They will thank you for the rest of their lives.
