The NYTimes has really liked Tulsa this past year or so.

I like #48.   Screw static pictures, lets have some interaction.

Good to be between Shanghai and Rome!

I had a large group here in the fall from Chicago who had never been to Tulsa.  They were blown away with everything from cost of living to to entertainment choices. I put them up at the Mayo and they couldn't believe how easy it was to get around, even in what we would consider rush-hour. White River, Siegi's, Blue Rose, and Juniper, they loved the kaleidoscope of dining experiences we gave them that week, and still talk about it every time we have a conference call.

I've always been able to impress out of town guests with our city.

Interesting, I gave a tour this fall to a group from Chicago that stayed at the Mayo.  They did love the deco but the whole time we were going around downtown I kept hearing them ask repeatedly.... "Where is everyone?"  "What's wrong with your downtown?"  "I don't understand, is there something going on?"  "Where are all the people? This is kind of creepy."  "We wandered all over the place downtown the other evening and couldn't find any shopping?"  "What happened to all the people?"    Over and over and over and over..... they kept asking even though I explained multiple times. I was about to get testy the next time some old codger shuffled over to me with a puzzled almost scared look on their face to ask where all the people were?  I FRIGGIN KILLED ALL OF THEM CAUSE THEY KEPT ASKING STUPID QUESTIONS OK!

I went ahead and sent the NYT a link to this forum. I expect their kind words about Tulsa to be retracted.  :D

The main difference, I think, between your group and Gaspar's, is that his were driving-centric and  yours were walking-centric.
