FOX News anchor Gregg Jarrett arrested at airport bar. FOX News anchor Gregg Jarrett has been released from jail after his arrest Wednesday at a restaurant/bar inside Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Police said Jarrett, 59, was arrested about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Northern Lights Grill in the airport's main terminal.
Metropolitan Airports Commission spokesman Patrick Hogan told the Associated Press that officers said Jarrett appeared intoxicated, acted belligerently and refused to follow their orders. He was booked into the Hennepin County Jail on a preliminary charge of obstructing the legal process by interfering with a peace officer. He posted $300 bond and was released early Thursday.
FOX News addressed the arrest in a statement on Thursday. "We were made aware late last night that Gregg Jarrett was arrested in Minneapolis yesterday and charged with a misdemeanor. He is dealing with serious personal issues at this time. A date at which Gregg might return to air has yet to be determined."
Jarrett, a weekend co-anchor for FOX News Channel, also covered high-profile stories such as the murder trial of George Zimmerman and the crash of Asiana Flight 214 at San Francisco Airport.
I know I should feel sorry for this guy having to deal with some personal problems out in public, but he was such a lying jerk so much of the time that I find myself pressed to feel for him.
My favorite stupid statement by him came when FoxNews was "covering" the issue about drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife area. Jarrett did a whole segment about "who cares about the Caribou."

Why should you feel sorry for him?? He doesn't deserve it....
"Refusing to cooperate with police" is a bit deceptive (and surprising that it would by itself be an arrestable offense).
Was he not cooperating with a lawful order, or was he not cooperating with someone bullying a celebrity?
Likewise, "interfering with a peace officer" is an equally nebulous catch-all.
Even Faux news dregs can assert civil rights.
I can't picture this guy. When I first heard it was at KMSP, I was at least hoping for a toe-tapper. Drunken anchor. That's kind of cliche' these days, isn't it?
