Title: Nissan Pathfinder repairs
Post by: AquaMan on March 19, 2014, 01:24:15 PM
My son's 2004 Pathfinder has an erratic idling problem. Mostly it idles too high and generally misbehaves.

Everything is electronic on this beast so after I check for obvious problems, vacuum leaks, dirty airfilter, etc I know I'm going to need a good Nissan mechanic. I don't want to go to the stealer dealer. Anyone know of a good reasonable Nissan guy?

He's not a Nissan specialist, but I've had good luck with any number of service issues with him:

Paul Clayton at Ranch Acres Car Care, 30th & Harvard. The old Texaco Station with the Model A out front.  He does foreign and domestic. 742-3902

These can be very helpful. I have a similar one for my Garmin, and these are actually better.

Surfside specializes in Nissans. Had my wife's Pathy worked on for years there.

I really like Jackie Cooper. Other than one higher end dealership, Cooper is the only car dealership/service place where I never felt like I needed a shower after doing business.

I like to think I'm handy with tools and repairs. I can't even find the spark plug wires on this v-6. Very imaginative engineers.

Thanks to all.
