Title: Europe for the last 1,100 years
Post by: RecycleMichael on March 09, 2014, 06:23:44 PM
This is a great video of how the maps have changed over the last 1,100 years. Almost every change was as a result of some war.

It sure makes me not want to get involved in the Ukraine. Everything seems so temporary.

Awesome.

But I want more information! Really neat though.

It is temporary.  Goes to that whole "knowledge of history" thing....

CF, start with Edward Gibbons best know work....I suspect you have already read it.  Brings you up to the point where that map starts.   Last time I saw it was in high school, so had forgotten most, but downloaded it to a smart phone a couple weeks ago - it's one of those free books available from the time before we walked away from the Constitutional intent on copyright and patents.....

Oh,... the title...for anyone who might be interested in some real history....  The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire.
