Title: Heavy hitters
Post by: Ed W on February 17, 2014, 06:47:07 PM
Open Secrets posted a list of heavy hitters - organizations that have contributed the most to political campaigns over the last 25 years. I'd like to see it broken down into smaller increments so we could identify trends, but it is what it is.

Given the preponderance of support to Democrats, you'd think we'd be more effective at the national level.

This doesn't include super pacs.  To put it into perspective Koch's super PAC raised about 400 million dollars for the 2012 election.  The "heaviest" hitter got about 4 million a year average.

So the "heavy hitters" aren't very heavy
