Nice picture of the city though. The indicators of commitment to education in the form of per pupil spending is what really hurt. We're also a low income state which is the best indicator of poor outcomes.
Barresi, Fallin and a dominating rural republican legislature are complicit. We of course are morally superior to the other states having passed legislation to prohibit gay marriage, reinforce ancient, liquor laws, monuments on state property and such. We are top ten there!
What? You think there's some correlation between being the reddest of red states and low test scores, high numbers of teen pregnancies, lousy roads and bridges, an ever widening gap between the richest and poorest residents, and a host of other social ills? Someone will be along to call you rude names very shortly.
