It's good that it's in a neighborhood where people won't blink at spending $35 on an organically-sourced free-trade free-range nasal wash.

THAT'S where I can get this?
WF has some things at a good price, yes some of it can make ya go pancakes on price though. It's definitely a special stop though.
So with two Whole Foods' where will the third one eventually be? I think it will be a few years now that the two wealthiest parts of the city are covered. Maybe a new larger one in midtown?

Can't wait. I love WholeFoods and am willing to pay for it! Now I'll be able to walk there.

I live in Owasso, and as much as I like Whole Foods, I can't see the town supporting one.

Maybe if Jesus blessed all of the produce?

Oh, don't even get me started... :)
Too upscale for Tulsa Hills/The Walk area?
Went for lunch. Mark Bruner was playing in the food court area. They also have a full Cafe with a sit-down menu that has some amazing stuff on it. Very diner-style with an old fashioned soda fountain, chicken and waffles and something really cool they call Thanksgiving waffles (dressing baked into a waffle with turkey, gravy and cranberries on it) :

Full Smoke House next to an enormous meat counter:

Store is at least twice the size of midtown if not three times with more features.

Parking lot was full but the store has super-wide isles so it was very easy to navigate. I think I saw all of my neighbors there, and I also noticed that the staff was extremely well groomed for a Whole Foods.
Curious what this does to the Fresh Market at 81st & Yale.
As far as Owasso goes, maybe Sprouts or Natural Grocers would be a good fit. I love the Natural Grocers that just opened near our house.

makes em compete
we live in midtown.. we go to Fresh market for some stuff. (4 miles away)
we never go to Whole Foods (2 miles away)
Mid-towners have a lot of choices when it comes to food, curious if anyone knows when the new Sprouts is opening at 41st & Harvard. We use Whole Foods for some specific items and it's convenient for lunch when I don't have time to go home for lunch. Natural Grocers has Akins beat on any supplement prices, plus they have lactose and beet sugar which are useful for home brewing and I like their bulk spice selections. Their price on lactose (for a milk stout) is about $1 cheaper per pound than at High Gravity.
Reasor's manages to provide a fair amount of our staple meats and produce.

First 100 people in the door got a free gift card.
I'm not a big whole foods fan, but this place is like a food disneyworld. Tons of different stores within the store like the diner, coffeehouse, smokehouse, pizza place, etc. I got breakfast at the taco bar, picked up a couple of pot pies for $3.50 each for dinner.
Mark Bruner was playing for lunch today. Good fiddle player too.

Was the fiddler Shelby Eicher? I think that's who Bruner usually plays with.
When my daughter and I had lunch there the other day just before Christmas, they had a string orchestra of either middle school or high school students. Nice background music to enjoy lunch by.
Have you ever seen a WF employee with a frown? Must be a pretty good place to work as some of the friendliest and most interesting people you will see are working there.
They are great to work with. Even upper management is a bunch of happy folks.
Too expensive for me. I can't see paying those prices.
Large salad and a fancy drink, $7.95. The entertainment was free.
