Title: Central Park condos pained pink...?
Post by: Jeff P on October 10, 2013, 11:22:19 AM
So I was in an argument that escalated to a bet with a friend the other night about this...

Am I crazy, or were the Central Park condos painted pink for a time in the mid/late 1990s?  I seem to remember that, but have scoured the Internets and Tulsa World web site with no joy.

Does anyone else remember this or (better yet) have a photo?

Only in October. And with a giant ribbon. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

That sounds familiar, they were painted some awful color at one point. They repainted to the current ugly gray after about six months.

Here's what I remember... The company that bought Central Park were known in Florida for their pink highrise condos. Naturally, they did the same here. After they realized people hated it, they said "Oh, that's just the primer."

I guess we just don't have enough Flamingos around here for that to work.

Anyone remember what they were called in the 90's?  I seem to remember "Central Park Condos" was a name change.

Might be able to find the pics under the previous property name.

I remember it the same way.

I lived in Center Plaza on the 17th floor in the mid 90s. I think they were pink part of that time.
