Is it that Harps chain that has a store in east Tulsa?

Has to be Harps. I really don't like this location. Too much going on in front of it and it's tucked back.

Good to see the building will be occupied but it will be tough sledding with a new Sprouts going in a mile to the south.

Almost seems like the drug-mart (or whatever it was) across the street, while smaller, would be a better location

Natural Grocers is coming here most likely. It's listed on their site as coming soon 31st and Harvard. This will be their second Tulsa store.

Curious how competitive their prices are.  Won't take much to beat Akins on produce and supplements.

The comments section has someone claiming Costco is going in at 103rd and Memorial - I thought this was just a rumor - did something change or is this just your typical TW comment chest-thumping?

I have a bet that Costco will not announce before Christmas. My friend (a real insider) says that they will announce they are coming to Memorial.

Natural Grocers is going into the old Med-ex location.
I was impressed with the store on 71st but will probably never
Go there because of its location in the middle of hell - the old Linens and Things store.
Good thing they are building another that will be a lot more convenient.

The old Med-X is Sedona Fitness now.

USA Drug which owned Mays and Drug Warehouse did happen to purchase Med-X prior to being swallowed up by Walgreens.  So on a technicality....   ;D

I kind of hated to see Walgreens swallow them.  I liked having more choices than the two big kids on the block.

Same here.  I despised using Walgreens, which is why I switched to DW.  They were awesome.  Sofar, the service hasn't changed, so Walgreens is out of the doghouse with me.  For now.  But it would not surprise me to see that change somewhere down the line.

Hopefully I'm proven wrong.

I recently went to the former Drug Warehouse at 31st & Sheridan.  I had not been in since before the renovations. To be honest, it's brighter and better laid out than when it was under the fingers of DW.  Main thing I miss about the DW at 31st & Harvard was one of the clerks named John.  One of the nicest and most helpful people I've ever met in a retail environment.

I used to go there because my mother LOVES Canada Dry Ginger Ale (Diet) and it's extremely difficult to find in 12 pack cans.  They were the only store in town that I could find that had it.  I haven't been back there since the switch (funny, because I work just about 1.5 miles from it) but hope they still have it.

Talk about stupid expensive business decisions. Walgreens buys USA drug to get rid of competition in this region closing most of the stores that they bought in the process. But that competition had been keeping CVS out of the market. Walgreens basically ending up paying millions to open up the market to a better funded national competitor. I hope someone was fired.
