Interesting read, especially the end.

For the W bashers, if you read this piece, think about how much smarter you really are than he is. And then tell us.
He must have been a very good actor then.
Then, go back and watch this, and all will be well.

Didn't read the article I see. Figures. If you judge people by sound bites, then how freakin dumb is this guy?
And tell us, how much smarter are you than W? Start with your academic bona fides and work forward. I would like to know. Same goes for you RM.

Looks like someone has their panties in a bunch this morning...wait...what?
Two words:
Perception matters.

I are a graduate.
A Bush staffer trying to rewrite history to make his boss and his own time in the White House look better is no surprise. Do we really need to review the facts behind why Bush was the worst president since at least Coolidge?

Smart is as smart does. He did, and said a lot of stupid things during his regime. More than most presidents.
You don't have to have more education, more wealth, more connections, more experience than someone else...to be smarter than someone else.
People prove it on this forum every day.
This thread is going to go poorly.
I like Bush's beans. I can eat a whole can.

Once you eat the can, you need to have someplace to put the beans.

I think George W is every bit as smart as Al Gore, but not nearly as competent.
Your turn. :P

I find it a little ironic and quite funny that someone who calls out our 'education' can't properly post a video link. Especially when that icon up there says 'Youtube' and the source is from Bing.
I likes me some #Invalid YouTube Links#.

How about Kerry? Let's cover both elections.

John Kerry served in Vietnam.
While W was "smart enough" to join the guard.
Yet in Republican-land, "W" is the "patriot" while Kerry gets "swift-boated."
Many Democrats unfairly label folks with southern accents as lacking intellect.
Many Republicans unfairly label folks with intellect as elitist and anti-Christian.
Pity.

Just because one sounds like an intellect doesn't mean they are.

Really? That's the best you got?? Yeah, I'm gonna believe a junior Karl Rove propagandizing much more than 8 years of demonstrated capability....
Have you submitted your re-written history piece to the Bush museum yet?

Wait a minute, Guido. Aren't you the king of posting snippets and sound bites in an effort to tar and feather those people you find disagreeable? I seem to recall you using a sound bite or two as "evidence" that the Occupy protesters were...well...whatever.
I'll give W this, however, and that's kudos for staying out of trying to make the world a better place like other former Presidents. He's safely at home painting puppies and such. At least he's confining his efforts to canvas. I understand Dick Cheney paints puppies too, but he uses real puppies.

John Kerry served in Vietnam.
I never really doubted that Kerry earned his medals. There were a lot of reasons to protest the Viet Nam war. The fact that a veteran was protesting the war carried a bit more weight than those of us that weren't there. (I am a Viet Nam era veteran but didn't have to go to Nam.) The disrespect he showed by tossing his ribbons (which represented the medals), was in very poor taste.
QuoteCalling it a "phony controversy" instigated by the Republican party, Kerry said on Good Morning America today that he has always accurately said what took place. "I threw my ribbons. I didn't have my medals. It is very simple."
He also said he — and the military — didn't make a distinction between medals and ribbons. "We threw away the symbols of what our country gave us for what we had gone through," he said.

Have much of a persecution complex?
I quoted it under your post since you mentioned it was from Bing. I don't usually log in unless I want to post something. The Bing URL only showed if I quoted the post. I didn't post the URL for you. I posted it for the convenience of everyone else.

Should we change your name to Jethro Bodine?
W is two behind U in the alphabet. I got that with my public school learning.
