Title: Difficult to find favorite food
Post by: Red Arrow on January 28, 2013, 06:59:10 PM
Lebanon Bologna

I thought we had discussed it here before but I cannot find a thread using the search function.
I found Lebanon Bologna at the slice to order deli counter at Fresh Market (81st & Yale).

Yummy.

Red Arrow considers it a hard-to-find foodstuff
He likes it
He found it at Fresh Market (a former bookstore)- http://www.thefreshmarket.com/Departments/deli.html
He thought he'd share his find.

I haven't seen it in Tulsa.  I haven't made it my life's goal to find it here but I have looked for it before.

Yep.  I know there are also some other east coast (PA/NJ) transplants around this forum who may be interested.

No need to now.  I can just drive up to Fresh Market and buy some freshly sliced.  I also don't need to buy several pounds at a time.

I was in there last night.

You need to hope they don't discontinue it like the many items I have seen come and go there.

Nice store.

I was there late yesterday afternoon.

Buy some, try it.  If you like it, pass the word.  I'm sure I won't buy enough for them to keep it in stock just for me.

Considering shipping charges, it's also less expensive ($6.99 +tax per lb.) at Fresh Market than to buy it from the meat company.

You had me at Bologna.

It tastes more like a salami than regular bologna.
