I'll admit that I've never seen Beyonce's version, but in my opinion, so long as we prevent Roseanne Barr from ever screeching the Star Spangled Banner again in my lifetime, we're ahead.

I believe it's now well  known that she did indeed  lip sync. I don't have a problem with that. They useually make a back up recordings anyhow for major events. My guess is Beyonce just wanted to be sure she would not flub up the lyrics by doing it live, and it was her call to lip sync it. That's fine with me. I don't have a problem with it- besides no one paid to see her sing live anyhoo.  :)
