Read this headline last week and it made me laugh. Why? Any thing you've seen like that hit you as odd?

GOP is doing a good enough job of self immolation. We don't need to help them much.
My point was just for fun. We seem to have lost a sense of the importance of words and illogical thought, how they mislead us, confuse us and lie to us. An example of why we can't discuss simple problems in much more than bumper sticker phrases.
This headline can in no way be accurate for at least two reasons. One is that that the very moment the oldest person dies, instantaneously another takes their place. Hence, unless it is the last person on earth who dies the statement is false. Two, it can never be true because if the last person dies...no one is left to write the headline or read it.
This link is along the same lines. It describes "truths" we were taught, that make sense, but are actually inaccurate.
