Title: Grand Opening- Creative Room/Made
Post by: JCnOwasso on November 27, 2012, 10:21:37 AM
Creative Room and Made will be having their Grand Opening Saturday, December 1, 2012, from 7PM-10PM.

Creative Room will be opening the first floor co-working and conference/classroom mixed use space, with the goal of opening the private and semi private rooms in the next month.  Come out and see the newest additions to the Pearl District.  They are located at 6th and Peoria, a few doors west of Lot 6 and kind of across the street from The Pheonix.

I just don't get where people find business financing for things like this...

Well... I have two of a number of organs that I technically only need one of.  jk :)   But really, you can find the funding if you look in the right places (non traditional financing, not "fat tony")

Doesn't make it any less surprising that they can get financing for a business that doesn't produce any sort of product or have a standard "ROI" model that investors look for.

ROI is the money they charge for both temporary and permanent booths. I enjoyed dropping by last night.

Yes, Made sells things created by your local Tulsa business people.  As for Creative Room, they will have a little shop space to sell things such as some things created in the space itself (Art, crafts etc) and a bit of room to sell some of my creations (bit of woodworking).  Truth is, when the wife wanted to do this I had three desires, 1) that the space pay for itself (I don't care how far in the black it goes)  2) provide a place where she can be around people who are just like her.  When you get a bunch of creative people together you can get some amazing production. 3) That she can get to the point where she can do things akin to GAS (Girls Art School).  Anything above and beyond that will be great and will just allow her to do more with the space itself and bring in more people.
