Well, it's underway in California.

I kinda like this time of year because everyone apparently becomes a First Amendment legal scholar.
I say Merry Christmas on December 25th. I consider that the appropriate thing to say to Christians on the day that celebrates the birth of Jesus.
The rest of the time between Thanksgiving and New Years Day is a combination of different days that represent different special things to many people including Christians and non-Christians. I feel more comfortable saying Happy Holidays on those days.
I could not care less that others might say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays. Whatever they want to say to me is greeted as a warm welcome or thank you to me. I consider it a wonderful time of year when we have a couple of different ways to express these feelings.
If someone says my greetings constitute a "war" on Christmas, then I feel they don't truly understand what Jesus was trying to teach. They are the ones who are wrong and their protest prove their misunderstanding and the spirit of his words. They also don't get the right to demand people address them their preferred way every single day of the five plus weeks of the season.
They made a huge blunder with pensions. Now they'll all be forced into coming home to Jesus... even the atheists.
Thanks. I love the crackpot madness of the left coast. Our mirror image as a State.
