Title: Letterman Better For Reelection Chances Than Netanyahu
Post by: Conan71 on September 20, 2012, 02:40:35 PM
Quote"In the scheme of things, who is going to get you more votes?" was Blitzer's excuse. "A meeting that could be tense with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or go on Letterman and come across as well as he did last night?"

"You know I think what's clear is that he really came across very smooth, very confident, very presidential with Letterman in that interview last night. He was really at the top of his game," Blitzer cooed. "I loved that. I loved it," gushed Banfield after a clip of the interview played.

Many Americans would want to know why the President refused to meet with the Prime Minister of America's ally in the Middle East during a time of turmoil in the region. Blitzer wouldn't push ahead with that question, however.

I used to actually admire Blitzer.  He's become another partisan hack sell-out.  No better than Limpbag, Hannity, Matthews, or Madcow.

President Obama is and always has been relient on a cult of personality.  Celebs, and elitests feed that, and are far more important to him than the stations of his job.  An opportunity to sip champaign with Jay Z will always score higher than a national security briefing or meeting with a foreign dignitary.   Domestic or foreign turmoil represents an inconvenience that in no way can be allowed to interfere with his social agenda or his campaign efforts.

If he would have met with Netanyahu and bowed to him, I certainly would have given him crap for it.

He sucks for blowing off Israel.

Given that he's too busy regaling us with the latest right wing lies, distortions, and spin, I doubt it. I hope to be proven wrong, however.

I stopped watching Letterman just about 4 years ago now.  Dave was foaming at the mouth.

Most people were. They finally recognized what an unmitigated disaster Bush 43 was.

No, most (being at least 51%) were realllllly unhappy with Bush 43 but Dave was nearly rabid about anything Republican.  There was no call for that.
