Put this on your calendar and pack up a lunch and picnic with other TulsaNow posters!
I will get there around 11:30 am. I will bring a lunch and maybe some extra to share.
These are fun and great opportunities to put a face to the posts and say things offline they you would never write on the interwebs. We can take time to break bread together and find some common ground. If not, there is a big grassy area where we can wrestle.
Who can make it?

I should be able to make it as well.

I think I can do this!
This once-in-a-lifetime to see all the fun people in one place is this Thursday.
If you don't come to this lunch, we will call you animal names and put pins in vodoo dolls until you cry.
MC and I walked around through the Green on Saturday, this is truly a Tulsa gem. Hope to see everyone there.

Where is the best place to park in that area? I don't mind walking two or three blocks (or even more, but not much more if I want to make lunchtime reasonable in length). I suppose I could park at McNellie's like I used to for ballgames.

We were there for AOB & the Harvest Beer Fest so we actually parked south of Fassler's on Elgin since the BD area was cordoned off. You could park by McNellies and transit walk over, or park in the Spaghetti Whorehouse parking lot.

I believe there is plenty of parking around the green on workday lunchtime. There is always plenty of street parking during the weekday east of the Brady Theater on Boulder as well.

You don't do this already for me?? I feel
depraved....er, uh, deprived! Yeah, that's it...deprived!
Voodoo!! Key word reminder of Voodoo Donuts! Yum!
You should bring asparagus.
Its going to rain....
They are calling for T-storms. RM, choose an alternative. El Guapo? The rooftop might be nice in the rain, and still have that picnic feel. I'll bring some steel golf clubs for some folks to hold up. ;)
Meteorologists have been known to be wrong.
I will make some calls and get the rain to hold off. If it is raining on Thursday morning, we can make other plans.

Nobody eats that stuff!
Wrong time of year - spring is asparagus time.

Not true. There was green and white asparagus at Fresh Market when we were there Sunday. I think you can find it year round at any grocery store.
Today is the day. I will be there about 11:30.
If you are new, I will be the one wearing an Obama cap.

Can't make it today. I have a work meeting for lunch. Mandatory. Sorry guys, they pulled this on me on Tuesday. Hopefully the rain holds off so you can enjoy the green.

I'm looking forward to it. I will be the one not wearing the Obama cap.

Just wear any old hat and I can put an Obama sticker on it for you. Glad to be of help.
Just got back from the ER. He's stable, but won't be using any big words for a while.
I feel so bad. At least I wasn't the one that pushed him.
In her rage, Erin may have actually caused enough brain damage to inadvertently make him more likely to vote that way!
The doc said that it wasn't really the steps that did the most damage, but rather the handrail that broke his fall.
I am glad he will be OK. It just happened so fast.
My wife didn't push me down the stairs until years after we were married.
who's hurt? man, glad I haven't braved a lunch with you guys! ;)

RM was actually successful in convincing Conan to vote for President Obama. . .even gave him an Obama hat! MC got angry and gave him a shove that accidentally caused him to tumble @ss over teakettle down the stairs at the Guthrie Green. Hit his head pretty bad. Handrail stopped his fall near the bottom when it caught his groin. His speech is a bit slurred and due to the brain trauma, the doctor's prognosis is that he may indeed vote for Obama.
Prayers.
You guy's are just kidding right? ???
I'm pretty clumsy like that, she really didn't mean any harm, but I suspect I'll be sleeping in the garden shed until after the election. Damn it hurts to type right now but it's easier than talking

Well, she was pretty drunk. Probably won't even remember when you get home and wake her up.
I never realized you could actually drink hand-sanitizer.
Wholly snapple Conan. You need to wear a permanent bike riding helmet. I hope she gives you a good rub I mean love when she gets home.

Well, she was pretty drunk.
She was sober. She was just upset that she pushed him so hard.
I really don't think I completely convinced him to vote for Obama. He did agree with many of my points, but I think he was just kidding when he said that. Obviously, I didn't convince her to vote for Obama.
At least lunch was good before the incident. I particularly enjoyed the selection of cheeses and the bottle of Henri Jayer Richebourg Grand Cru that RM brought.
The weather and the company couldn't have been better. Amazing how many things we can agree on when not shielded by an LCD screen.
Geez... I never thought of lunch as a blood sport before. Interesting concept.
A thought...
What exactly happens when somebody files an insurance claim with her?? Just curious...

Thanks.
I love that wine and most of the cheeses were homemade. I was disappointed that the crackers were stale. I shouldn't have opened the package yesterday and left them in the car overnight. Live and learn.
Geez, I've got one helluva headache! What the he11 happened?
What did you do? WHAT DID YOU DO???!!!
