Would like some leads on a good builder to do a 1 car + office detached garage. Demo old garage, concrete driveway extension, sidewalk, frame in interior office space, electrical...the whole deal. Checked Angie's List (no relation) but haven't found a builder that I think really fits with what we need.
Thanks!
Something like this, maybe:

You have a beautiful lawn
Not the team of mexicans that tore down my neighbor's garage and replaced it with a carport and built a new segment of fence along the property line. Freakin' horrible work and substandard materials. I can take some pictures so you know what not to let them get away with. :P

Just trying to keep you out of trouble.
No, they were Mexican. The accent (and certain slang) is a dead giveaway. I guess it's fair to say that their country of origin has nothing to do with the shoddy work, and someone might think I was saying otherwise, so thanks.
I have received a few suggestions from my Facebook friends —
Josh McFarland-Red Dog Construction
Jeff Fite
Ricky Roe in Mounds
And I found this company online —

This guy is reputable if he is in town. Is doing a lot of work in Florida last time I talked to him. He added a room onto my parents home, repaired my sagging 90 year old porch and did a fine job on both. Good prices too.
Beware of zoning, and make note, a lot of contractors neglect to get inspections.
Permits!! Don't let them get by without permits!
Will you neighborhood/zoning allow that? Even if you present it as just 'replacement' or 'repair', it my be complicated.
