Tulsa, Okla. — Well-known wildlife park operator Joe Estes, known by his nickname "Safari Joe", was arrested on Thursday on multiple complaints of sex crimes involving children.
Estes operates the park in the town of Adair in Mayes County east of Tulsa.
The Mayes County District Attorney's Office says the alleged acts involved two different children younger than the age of 16 in 2005 and 2006, and authorities say there could be more victims.
Estes faces one count of rape by instrumentation and two counts each of lewd molestation and lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16.
He was released on bond of $25,000.

His preliminary hearing is set for September 27th.
I always have to question though, why didn't someone speak out sooner. These charges range from 5-7 years ago?
Curious who he's pissed off at the MCSD. Supposedly, one of the investigators is related to a victim from what I read yesterday. I don't know Safari Joe, and have no reason to defend him, it simply makes one wonder.
Innocent until proven guilty.
. . .but he still gave me the creeps long before this. :-\
There's apparently a custody battle going on, which makes the timing of this suspicious.
Wow. His ex Lori sure is having a bad year. She has MS and is losing her Sanctuary to another licenced handler and now this.
I'm not saying anything about these specific allegations, but sexually abused kids usually disclose the abuse after a considerable lapse of time, if they disclose at all.
