Title: Furniture and Furniture Repair
Post by: guido911 on July 09, 2012, 01:27:48 PM
Looking for a place to get quality furniture for a media room, library, and an upstairs room for me to look down my nose at the peasants from  :D.  Also looking to find a very good furniture repair person with leather experience (no jokes please) for a couch that has been traumatized by a six year old.

Can't help on the repair, but I will PM you a contact name at a very hip furniture store.

Do you want to keep it local?  Generic decent furniture - maybe Ethan Allen store?  I have been kind of disappointed with them in recent years, though, so don't know how you would feel about that.

I was pleasantly surprised by Norwalk when they were here.  In general, I have hated just about every new piece of furniture I have looked at for the last 10 years, but they seemed to have some interesting stuff.  I think the only way to deal with them now would be Ghd Interiors in Jenks (if they are still there?).  They have a store in OKC if you want to look and touch, and don't mind a field trip.

Mathis?  LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL,...well, you get the idea....

Or, build your own....nice hobby!  Great satisfaction level.  Exceptional furniture when done right.

I got nothing on repair...  long time ago, I had Massey's trim shop (east Independence) do some work for me and it was exceptional, but that has been so long, there must have been a generational change by now and I don't know how it is now.

Enjoy lording it over the peasants!!

I seem to forget names these days. Sixth and Utica, (Hawley) great furniture, a little snooty but you might like that. Admiral, just about a block east of Yale is a leather furniture repair shop that does cars too. He must be good, it had a Hispanic surname. Also, Beller Upholstery over on Peoria and 12th steet (Tracy Park). I can vouch for them.

Very pleased with the final products we ordered.  You can't be in a hurry though.

The couple who own it are young and friendly.  Her name is Lisa but I can't remember the husband's name.  Their store manager is a credit to the profession.

Ouch.  For such a liberal, open minded person, you are into serious infliction of pain....

I think so.  Good merch though.

You choose design, color, patterns if you wish.

You'll dig it.

I think it is too. Say, isn't there a pizza joint nearby that I believe gets some small attention in here?
