Anyone own one of these products or otherwise have thoughts? I am thinking of buying it for day to day cleaning of the downstairs.
Just hire a person. Why don't you republicans ever want to actually create real jobs?

There's always that. I just think these things are kinda neat. Okay, I just want to waste money. There. I said it.

I don't care if you waste your money. Don't waste mine. My money is for me to waste.

I know of someone who has one for hardwoods. She likes it.
I can't tell you how well it works on carpets.
Spend the extra for the higher end if you decide to blow some cash.
Women who clean are so sexy.

Am I a bad man for thinking about cleaning hardwoods and carpets while "blowing cash" strangely after reading the posts above yours?

With my humor, no.

I had a neighbor who's girlfriend cut the lawn on his riding mower in a bikini. She had me weed eating on the weekends even when my yard didn't need it. :P

It really was pathetic to see her suffering like that. So really I was just lifting her spirits than being more of a pervert. Ya that's the ticket!
Guido, if you do decide to buy a Roomba, might I suggest waiting until Woot! has them again? They're usually around 40% off what other people are selling them for. Strangely, they also are often trying to sell Dyson vacuums. I have a sneaking suspicion they think their customers are mostly slovenly folks who don't own vacuum cleaners of any sort.
Looks like last time around they had a Roomba 530 for $159.99. That was on the 26th of May. They had the Neato XV-12 a couple weeks before that for $300.

I know. You are a real humanitarian. Bless you. I will be on the look out to assist those similarly in need in the future.
Bought the Neato XV-11 instead. The name alone sounds awesome.
And it's awesome. Got it today and started it up. Wish I had a pet to see its reaction...
You have to empty the dirt bin...?? What good is a robot if it won't empty itself. Almost like having to clean up after a dog...
They both look pretty cool....

Mine is the VX-11. It is a bit loud, but I kinda like it since I know where it is. I'll tell you what is really cool, when it is done cleaning, it returns itself to it's docking station to rest and recharge. My son calls it "Luke", as in Skywalker. He's a Star Wars nut. Yesterday Luke kept trying to get into a room with the door closed by its occupant. My son told on the occupant and showed concern over Luke not being allowed to go in.
Looks pretty interesting. But then, I get into the geek stuff on occasion....
Their site says there are "border" tapes available to enforce a lockout region if desired.

There is tape. Could not find a need for it yet. Oh, and the thing really works. I had some people over that voted for Obama and Luke managed to wipe out all traces of their presence. Saved the cost of a Hazmat team visit... ;D

Got it. They were normal when they voted for Bush. Then had their brains sucked out before the 2008 election. Not having one brain cell remaining, they voted for Obama.

then had their brains sucked out. The sequence is important.
