Title: Pizza Man
Post by: DolfanBob on May 14, 2012, 12:45:34 PM
Ken Selby passed away Saturday. Founder of Ken's Pizza, Mazzio's and Zio's.
I had a chance to meet him and visit with him at his home in Broken Arrow back in the 80s when a old girlfriend of mine was a manager at the Ken's restaurant here in B.A.
Very nice man and not really a flashy kind of guy, at least not at that time.

I used to take my girlfriend in high school to the pizza joint he moonlighted at and later owned across from TU on 11th. We loved the quaint atmosphere.

He was a very classy guy. He always took good care of waiters.

You done good Mr. Selby. Thanks for your legacy--and the original Ken's Pizza is the BEST chain pizza out there. Bar None.

And as a reminder. If cancer was a human being, it's @ss would be getting kicked extra hard today. Who's with me?
