The news report tonight said they eliminated the sheriffs bus and the prison. That leaves the school as the cause, though they tried to say it may be from somewhere else. My bets are on the sheriffs bus and we will never learn that was the source of it. Only way it can be another source is if other people from the school also get sick.

The grammar seemed fine. The tense was unusual, however. It seemed more like a third person narrator. I suppose she could have dropped the first and, pausing to indicate a comma instead, but it's perfectly valid to hear something and do something and (implied see) something. You don't
have to hear something, do something, and see something.
