Title: State parks
Post by: jacobi on May 01, 2012, 07:13:21 PM
So, which state park is your favorite?  I'm a big fan of osage hills or walnut creek.  I've always wanted to make it out to little sahara.

I love love love love love Little Sahara! Way out in the middle of nowhere and really just a ton if fun. Plenty of beautiful scenery, and lots of sand.

I also really like Robber's Cave.

Saw Greenleaf for the first time last weekend with cannon_fodder, cannon_fodder, jr. and MC.  Beautiful place for hiking, fishing, camping, morel hunting ;)  Too late for the shrooms this year.  A real treasure not much more than an hour from Tulsa.

We go there several times a year.  They have great little cabins built in the 20s.

The deer walk right up to you in the mornings.  By daughter likes to feed them Doritos.

Quartz Mountain resort is a nice place, semi-desert, semi-Oklahoma plains....nice area to explore with some great ranges and the resort is top notch...
