Title: River Spirit Casino
Post by: ARGUS on April 23, 2012, 11:07:14 AM
What are the large piles of dirt to the North of the Event Center? The piles of dirt have filter fabric on them and appear to have been there for a year or longer.

Not dirt, but a super-absorbent litter they periodically sweep through the casino to absorb the tears of their patrons.

I had my first trip there earlier this month.  What a weird, psychotic sort of place.  With penny slots, I can see how one could waste away an afternoon drinking cocktails and just making time.  That said, when I'm in need of a cooldown and a beverage this summer on a ride, I will stop in there.  Plus the food wasn't great but for $10 who could turn down the buffet.

How was the smoke?  I've not been in for a couple of years.  Last time was to drop off a toy for the toy ride.  I watched a friend's band a couple of times there and couldn't believe how poor the smoke attenuation system is.  I've been in dive bars with far better smoke eaters.

It's funny you mention that Conan.  I'm young enough that I had never been in a blade that big and open where people could smoke.  It was strange.  The smoke wasn't too bad though.  It was the middle of the day though.
