Title: Mike Wallace Passes

News icon and tough interviewer. I thought Christopher Plummer's portrayal of him in "The Insider" was incredible...

That was a superb movie.  Like Anthony Hopkins in 'Nixon', he didn't really resemble Wallace physically, but both (Hopkins and Plummer) played those guys to T.

One of the last, true journalists left.  RIP Mike.

Couldn't help dooshing up a thread about a passing news anchor, could ya? Let's play. I remember Wallace's interview with the Shah of Iran back in the mid 70s. Man, did Jimmy Carter ever F up the rescue mission of those hostages...

How is that 'dooshing it up', Gweed.  I was responding to your remark about Plummer playing Wallace; I was making my own observation.

Who's 'dooshing it up now'.  You need to get over yourself.  And stop trying to pick an argument on a completely benign post Jeez.  No wonder most everyone on here doesn't like you.  Maybe you should keep up the good work at Freep and stay there.

Kinda nice to know it was me that was able to get Guide to remove his 57 states Obama reference as a signature line.  Quit stalking me, counselorcatbox.

My favorite Mike Wallace reference was years ago with the saying "You know it's going to be a bad day when you go to work and Mike Wallace and a crew from 60 Minutes was waiting outside your door."
