Title: Where are you on the Global Payscale?
Post by: TheArtist on March 30, 2012, 01:41:15 PM
Thought this was interesting.  You type in your monthly wage and it shows where your "rank" in relation to other workers in the world.

I have a seven figure income. Unfortunately, there is a decimal point involved.

Where is the cost of living comparison?

It's built in. It prices non-US wages in 'PPP dollars', which reflect differences in the cost of living.

Only if you have a lead on a job that will be willing to work around my school and kids schedule and my honor society travels.

I don't feel as "fortunate" as that index would indicate.

That is beyond my capabilities to help, sorry about that. I am just a cog in the works and am fortunate to have the job I do.   Hopefully your efforts at education will eventually remedy your situation.

I would suggest taking any government help that is available (that is, after all, what it's there for), but you might get burned at the stake as a heretic, this being Oklahoma. ;)

I got the impression that it was to make us all in the USA feel guilty about making so much.

Well, being the BBC, I think the point of the article was to inform. Not very great as an anti-USA thing, since we're not even the country with the highest average wage.

Not so much specifically anti-USA so much as anti-top 25% or so.

How is it anti-anything? It's merely reporting the facts.
