Man chased for impeding traffic 5am Sunday. Had to use stop sticks.

I'm trying to figure out what flow of traffic he was impeding at 5 a.m. on a Sunday anywhere in this state.
I didn't know a Geo Metro was rated to pull a trailer. Must of been the four cylinder version. The three cylinder couldn't get out of the way of it's own exhaust.
Good to know the police are out there to protect us from people driving too slowly at 5am.
Kinda like calling out the helicopter on St. Patty's day due to someone calling that people "threw things" at their car on 15th.
Our tax dollars at work.
Driving too slow is more dangerous than going too fast, he should not of been on the freeway if he had to go slow. A GEO Metro is a 3-cylinder job if I recall correctly.

You've crossed into Corky world on that one.

Not really- slow drivers cause many rear end crashes and/or pileups on our highways by not keeping up with the flow of traffic, and how many times have you had to take an emergency action for a fast driver? not any in most cases, but with slow drivers it affects other drivers such as coming up around a blind curve or over a hill and seeing a car going 30 mph ahead of you in a 50 mph zone. Slow driving is much more dangerous, it's a obstruction in the free flow of traffic.. I'm talking mostly of freeway and highway driving. A slow driver on a 2-lane road is also bad it backs up traffic and dangerous situations can be born. As I see it if you can't handle a car at normal traffic speeds you should not be on the road or have a license- if your car has problem it should not be on the road.

Why don't you google Geo Metro and find out all the options.........

It's up to the driver coming up on the slower vehicle to identify it and avoid it. If the approaching car hits the slower car from behind it's the faster driver's fault. Ergo, it's not the slow driver who caused the crash, it's the dumbshit who didn't slow down soon enough.

In addition to what everyone else is saying, tell me, what is the flow of traffic if it's 5 a.m. on a Sunday morning and you are the only one on the highway? Does it change if one other person that happens along the multi-laned highway come along at a faster pace? If it does, doesn't that mean your not keeping up with the flow of traffic if you are doing the speed limit and the only other person on the highway passes you doing 120mph?
Isn't there a posted minimum speed on 244?

too bad they didn't site that for when they went to pull em over, which is different from impeding the flow of traffic. Of course, all of this is academic since the idiot decided to run (crawl?).

There likely was a grant covering the overtime pay of extra officers assigned for St Patty's.
I don't know if that covers a $1250/hr helicopter, though.

Grant money, stimulus money, tax money. It all comes from my pocket regardless. Not like the government gets revenues from somewhere else.

Other than borrowing from China, corporate taxes levied on businesses you don't patronize and who aren't suppliers for businesses you do, tariffs levied on others, user fees, and billions of dollars of other revenue that doesn't come from you.

And this relates to a slow speed chase how?

I think the posts involved have quotations, so it's pretty easy to follow them back and see where they came from. ;)

Too much green beer does things like that. :)
