Early today, AA M&E Center employees found numerous vehicles in the parking lot with cracked or broken windows. Some reports put the number at 100. Windshields showed impacts similar to rock hits, and everyone suspects a vandal used a BB gun or similar weapon to do the damage. I saw one windshield that had taken four hits.
TCSO initially said the the damage resulted from a malfunctioning bead blaster, an explanation that defied both common sense and the laws of physics. The vehicles spanned nearly a quarter mile, meaning that any beads would have to travel that distance, reverse course in mid-air, and then impact windshields with enough force to break them. My already low opinion of TCSO was not improved in any way.
I expect that security will be tightened tomorrow. That means long lines waiting to get into the base, if history is any guide.

TCSO isn't exactly getting the higher hanging fruit for $1500 a month.

That's what they reported last night as well...about the cause being 'a malfunctioning piece of equipment'...
Dang the roving bead blasters, you never know where they are coming from.

That explains why they look like glorified security guards.
Two rumors today. First, the alleged vandal was allegedly caught. He's supposed to be a low-seniority hangar rat who would probably be laid off soon. The other rumor is that he posted his exploits to youtube.

stupid supposedly "low-seniority hangar rat who would probably be laid off soon".
I went looking on YouTube until I was bored. Didn't find anything. We'll probably learn more tomorrow.
