Tulsa-based ORS Nasco announces downtown headquarters, workforce expansion
ORS Nasco announced today the relocation of its corporate headquarters to the Sunoco building, 907 S. Detroit Ave., as well as an expansion of its overall workforce through 2012.
The company plans to hire 60 additional employees locally and 100 nationwide, with jobs ranging from laborers to professional positions, across the company's warehouse, IT, marketing, finance, merchandising, sales, supply chain and logistics and customer care divisions.
The headquarters move includes a 20,000-SF build-out of the fourth floor at the Sunoco building, raising the company's Tulsa-area office footprint to 60,000 SF.
The former corporate headquarters at the Tech Ridge facility, 9910 E. 42nd St., is under renovation to accommodate the expansion of its customer care and inside sales departments. The ORS Nasco Muskogee – Shawnee facility will also continue to function in a customer care capacity.
Local Tulsa residents interested in applying for one of the company's new positions should email their resume to jobs@orsnasco.com
ORS Nasco has about 550 employees and 19 distribution centers strategically located across the U.S. The company offers more than 160,000 premium-branded products from more than 600 manufacturers, such as 3M, Dewalt and Stanley.
Well that certainly sounds like a positive.
Anyone but Bartmann.
While we all want to see a grand slam (large corporate headquarters), these singles and doubles add up and are a great sign of growing confidence in and the belief that downtown is the place to be. Great news.

Agreed.
Moving a large corporate headquarters is a rare and unlikely occurrence.
These are the exact type of moves we need to be going after. Great news.
Agreed. Diversity of employers means that many more opportunities for growth spread in many areas and less dependence on the fortunes of one major employer.
Something on the south side of downtown...great news.
I've heard that the penthouse in this building is 50s fab.
I work in the Sun Building and got a chance to go check out the penthouse. It's pretty neat, but definitely not my taste.

Anyone know if there's a photo stream of it somewhere? I'm all about MCM design.
The person living there was doing some renovations, but that was a year ago. I managed to grab some photos, but I don't know what's changed since then; I haven't gotten to go up there since.
