QuoteBIXBY, Oklahoma - Reasor's will open the doors on a state of the art shopping center Wednesday.

The new store in Bixby marks the 17th for the company, and they promise this one is unlike any they've ever built before.

Along with the new lighting and design, the center also has a charging station for electric cars, an indoor cafe, and an interactive LED floor for kids.

Current CEO, Jeff Reasor, said his father would be proud of how far the company has come in its 40-year history.

"I think he would be overwhelmed. The stores—just the decor, the size. Actually, the first store he opened in Tahlequah, back in 1963—six ... of that little store would fit inside this one today," Reason said.

The new center also features new produce cases, which are the first of their kind to be used in the country.

I saw a bunch of cars in the parking lot last Saturday.  The door still had a sign indicating Open Soon.  I asked someone in the parking lot with a Reasor's badge and he said it opens Wednesday (tomorrow).   Yay.

I'd like a bag of Vidalia onions please.

Went there last night. Looks fantastic. Food Pyramid at 101st should be on life support, as should be the Country Mart in "downtown" Bixby.

I finally got to go today.  The whole store was pretty busy.  It's about like the Reasor's in Jenks, maybe a bit more stuff.  They didn't have Pearled Barley in the bulk area. I like to use barley in our "One-pot" dinners rather than rice.  They did have a bag of barley in the soup area though.  I got a fairly nice steak for tonight along with some veggies. I hope some of the folks from the Pyramid at 101st got jobs at Reasor's.

Edit:
You parking lot crazies will be happy to know that the lot was fairly full.  My guess is at least 75%.  My mom stopped by earlier this week and couldn't get a spot near enough to the door.  She is almost 86 and gets easily winded walking any distance.  A trip through the store is a day's exercise for her.
