Post by: Townsend on February 17, 2012, 09:38:10 AM
Have you guys been watching these?

This one is from election night, 04/01/1980,  Inhofe has just won mayor.

Check out action news reporter "Skip".  He's pretty awesome.  Wearing Sex Panther for sure.

That one reporter reminded me of Ron Burgundy just a bit.

I began to wonder whatever happened to ol' Skip and found this on Tulsa TV Memories -

Comments: I have audio tape of a newscast I anchored at KVOO radio in September of 1978. I can share it if there is an interest. It's amazing what you find when you clean out old files!

I worked at KVOO in the mid-seventies as part of the Big Country news team pictured by Si Hawk in Guestbook 129. That was after sharing an office with fellow Oklahoman Jim Ruddle at WMAQ-TV in Chicago and before I married Skip Nicholson in 1979. Skip reported at KTUL-TV in Tulsa and then at KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City where he helped win a Peabody award for the station in 1982. We are still together, by the way.

Thanks again for a great site with wonderful memories.

That's the old "Sex Panther" swag for life. He probably still has "It"

Ok well maybe not so much.
