One of my favorite M*A*S*H episodes was when he played the nutty General before he became Col. Potter.
But first a number. A musical number. Well go ahead boy, it's in your blood just let it out. And a peachy, peachy, peach down the Mississippi mud. He was great.

And always a hoot watching MASH when the Colonel and the boys were a little...shall we say....3 sheets?...funny stuff almost always.
I love that he reprised his roll as Dick Gannon in the 80's Dragnet movie.
