There are actually three races... a one-mile fun run, a 5k race and the nine-mile 15k.
The starting line is located at 3rd and Boulder. The race goes south to 15th St, then Left through the Cherry Street district to Utica. Runners will turn right and race to 21st Street where they will head back west to Riverside. Then it's south to 39th Street where they turn around head back to downtown. The finish line is located at 2nd and Denver.
Those streets will be closed early Saturday morning.
At least I can exit the hood by travelling West on 18th. Then across the river to 75, connect to 244 and come back across the river, then the IDL to 51 east and take the Lewis exit..... to get to Reasors at 15th & Lewis two miles away. Do I love the masses visiting my area to practice their self flagellation? You bet!
