If the rumors are true, this would be President Obamas first intelligent decision.

QuoteShe could step off the world stage and into the vice presidential nomination. It's a way, some political soothsayers say, to rekindle that old "black" magic.

"That's a racial slur!"

Why this fetish for trying to get Hillary on the ticket?  This meme pops up every 3 months like clockwork, but I still can't figure out why it seems a desirable line of inquiry for you.  Other than you maybe like the idea of the two most hated Democrats in modern America heading the 2012 campaign.  Thoughts?

I'm a fan of the sassy low neckline and the pearls to get my attention.  She's looking away but she's drawing my eyes in.

She actually looks more like a SCOTUS justice in that get up.  Or perhaps more like a headliner at Barnum & Bailey with that ruffled neck.

I have to admit, I still don't think it's going to happen, but FWIW, Robert Reich would like to see an Obama/Clinton ticket in 2012.

QuoteMy Political Prediction for 2012: It's Obama-Clinton
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2011
My political prediction for 2012 (based on absolutely no inside information): Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden swap places. Biden becomes Secretary of State — a position he's apparently coveted for years. And Hillary Clinton, Vice President.

So the Democratic ticket for 2012 is Obama-Clinton.

Why do I say this? Because Obama needs to stir the passions and enthusiasms of a Democratic base that's been disillusioned with his cave-ins to regressive Republicans. Hillary Clinton on the ticket can do that.

Moreover, the economy won't be in superb shape in the months leading up to Election Day. Indeed, if the European debt crisis grows worse and if China's economy continues to slow, there's a better than even chance we'll be back in a recession. Clinton would help deflect attention from the bad economy and put it on foreign policy, where she and Obama have shined.

The deal would also make Clinton the obvious Democratic presidential candidate in 2016 — offering the Democrats a shot at twelve (or more) years in the White House, something the Republicans had with Ronald Reagan and the first George Bush but which the Democrats haven't had since FDR. Twelve years gives the party in power a chance to reshape the Supreme Court as well as put an indelible stamp on America.

According to the latest Gallup poll, the duo are this year's most admired man and woman This marks the fourth consecutive win for  Obama while Clinton has been the most admired woman in each of the last 10 years. She'a topped the list 16 times since 1993, exceeding the record held by former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, who topped the list 13 times.

Obama-Clinton in 2012. It's a natural.

One thing is certain, if Hillary were to replace the president, there would be no Republican candidate capable of standing against her.

Could you picture Biden as SOS?  It would be like Leslie Nielsen in the Naked Gun series.

Was it FOTD that predicted this? :) Would Biden switch jobs with her? And if not, she'd be perfect for SCOTUS. She could straighten out some of the mess they've gotten us into. I mean, you can't go back and erase the Bushevik election and it's awful outcome but maybe we could establish person hood....it's back to that "it takes a village" metaphor. ;) I think she'd be a better fit in there with Clowance Thomas, Tony Scalia, and the other bozos...

Looking forward....to 2012!

Now this surprises me, it looks like President Obama is going to stick with Biden!??

I mean, he's got 21 days left to replace him, but apparently Hillary may not be willing to play ball, and he may have to continue the daily face-palm routine with old Joe.

White House rejects McCain comments on Biden

QuoteThe White House to John McCain: Thanks for the vice presidential advice, but no thanks.

McCain, responding to a question yesterday on Fox News, said that "it might be wise" for President Obama to switch Vice President Biden in favor of Hillary Rodham Clinton -- though he also noted "it's not going to happen, obviously."

He's a great one to give advice about picking a VP.  Holy lipstick.

I can tell you are deeply concerned. Why?

Because we have two attractive options and one dismal one.

1. Best option. . .Romney/Ryan stop the madness, the spending, and the uncertainty.

2. Good option. . .President Obama drops Joe and picks up clinton, that would mean that she would use the position as a transition into the 2016 seat.  In order to do that she and the president would have to work together to stop the madness, the spending, and end the uncertainty.  That would mean adopting some of Bill's past prescriptions.  It would also give the president the opportunity to re-brand this about-face as a new "team approach," and save face for him and his party as a (w)hole.

3. Worst option. . .We continue the push Forward. Using the Obamanomic fail and bail plan, continue spending, and insure that businesses have no understanding of future outlays or economic hope.  Continue to expand welfare, food stamps, and disability, resulting in a nation of dependents voting for their next meal.  Increase the growing division between political philosophies, and parties.  Use every issue to divide people based on every group dynamic or affiliation possible.  Denounce success as greed, and elevate the mundane.  Paint failure as victimization and increase the number of politicians willing to pander to it in order to purchase and maintain power structures.

So, yes, I am a bit upset, because I like the idea of the two better options over what we have.  It's nothing against Joe, he's just a simple little clown, but Hillary is another story.  She has more leadership and ruthless purpose in her little finger than President Obama could ever muster, and adding her to the ticket would give her, and Bill, ownership in the state of the economy if they want to be in the Whitehouse again.

There are still 21 days left.

1. Best option. . .Romney/Ryan stop the madness, the spending, and the uncertainty.

Thus far, Romney's plans as disclosed will increase the deficit, not decrease it. And the uncertainty is caused by your own party's insane whinging. Unfortunately the whinging is so loud that you can't hear what Obama says, all you hear is what the whingers surrounding you want to pretend he said so that they can whinge some more.
