Title: Demo at 5th and Peoria
Post by: jacobi on September 27, 2011, 11:05:28 AM
So there has been demo work going on for the last week or so at 5th and Peoria on the west side of the street.  Anybody know what is going on there?

Which corner? I hope they are not tearing down that great old brick building on the Northeast corner.

They started taking chunks out of that building this summer.  No, it's across the street.  It sued to be midtown something or other and then there was a row of houses.  I was wondering if this was for another of the flood controll elements that are part of the pearl master plan, or if the IHCRC was just munching up another lot for parking.

the IHCRC is in serious expansion mode. That is a very nice clinic, and I am happy to see any improvements they are doing. Of course, that's where I go for health care, good ol' socialized health care.

Are they going to do some building or just push their parking out farther?
