Title: Castles in Arkansas
Post by: joiei on September 02, 2011, 12:49:07 PM
There is a group building a castle in Arkansas using methods from the 1200s.   Rick Steves was talking about it on NPR today.   Pretty cool.   It is sort of between Eureka Springs and Springfield off HWY 65 at Lead Hill.  http://ozarkmedievalfortress.com/en-us/ (http://ozarkmedievalfortress.com/en-us/)

I think I might be taking a day trip soon to check this out.

I was listening to that.  Talked about the English invading Wales.

Compared it to white expansion here in the states.

I owe FMC a motorcycle ride out that way and a lunch at AQ.  Yet one more good excuse to go over there when it cools off.

You'd be better off eating at Herman's or Sonny's BBQ. ;)
