Title: Obama the Dad
Post by: guido911 on June 29, 2011, 11:29:56 PM
How old are my kids?

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_OBAMA_OOPS?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2011-06-29-18-10-51'

I started this thread just so I can keep the Bachmann bashing thread sacrosanct (although I cheated a bit)

That is really a stretch. She is 12 years and 51 weeks old and he said she was thirteen.

Impeach him now!

You really think this "mistake" is interesting?

It's not about "impeach', its about fair play. There are several threads, some started by YOU, where the left at TNF wants to pig pile on Bachmann on everything she says. Here's the turnabout. Do you know how old your kids are? Better yet, do you know how many states there are in America?

edited.

Actually, it's about ODS.  You have it.  Big time.  Have since around Nov of 2008 if I recall.

Why else would your avatar be a photoshopped picture of the President bowing to the Burger King.  And your signature?

Oh well, everyone has a hobby.

I guess I'm rotten too.  I have a tendency to start rounding up age about a month prior to the next birthday.

Partisan claptrap at it's worst.

The initiator of this thread needs to spend less time getting his ideas through listening to Rush and more time getting fresh air. Jeebuzz Guido, we'd all be better off if you picked your talking points off RedState. :o

Well shoot... I was getting on this thread because I thought it was kind of funny.  But her birthday is Monday :(  Not so funny.  Sometimes i tell people I am a year older than I am when its a week or two before my birthday as well.  Since I am pretty much already there.  My mom gets confused with my birthday now that I have nephews.  She did well until I moved out of the house :)  My family has 2 x May 1st, (had) 2 x May 15th , 2 x May 19th , May 20th, May 21st  .  My birthday is in the middle of all that.  So I know why she gets confused now :)

Okay. Then we'll see your explanation for a Bachmann gaffe next time she has one? Bachmann says something about John Wayne, and she is the dumbest person on the planet. Obama doesn't know his own kid's age after bringing her up, "aww, I make that mistake too".

Embarrassing story time: I actually mistook my last birthday for being my 27th. It wasn't until February of this year that I realized that I was only 26.

And I have messed up my own age at some point as well. Fact is, this is a "gotcha" forum, even more so when people announce they are running against Obama by RM et. al. Just see the Bachmann "silly", Romney and his hundred dollar bills, and Huntsman not making up his mind threads from the past two weeks as evidence. I have given Obama props on certain things he has done. In here, it's hate the GOP from some people 24/7, and these are the same people who b!tch when I get after Obama.

And as a note, I see our jobs president still has don't squat about unemployment.

Not speaking to you, speaking to whomever thought it newsworthy to call out the President on this in the first place.  Don't you think it's just a bit sophomoric?

Oh absolutely. But that's not the point. Palin says something about Paul Revere and the left gets so excited that they need to don a rubber. Obama screws up the age of his kids, or runs his mouth about a deceased Medal of Honor winner, both in the past week or so, and there's freakin crickets or statements of understanding.

guido will never see the difference between the two.

One is a politician making up history by trying to spin it into a story about gun control. The other is a politician rounded up his daughter's age by a week.

Please re-read the recently re-posted forum guidelines and abide by them, please.  The personal comments are wearing thin on everyone and baiting other members does not help.  Thank you.

Not even acknowledging in the first place it would be the best approach, IMO.  Give 'em crickets as well  ;)

I'm more interested in real problems facing real Americans, not gaffes, not if a candidate pays with $100 bills or his AMEX card, nor what a candidate thought about social issues 30 years ago when they were in college.

Insignificant items are really clouding people's view and judgement of candidates.

While I comment on the threads about people, I am not the one posting them.  There are only about 4 people that do that.  Sadly, most of it either 1) turns into people or 2) starts out about people.

I know that. You, Ed, Swake, (and occasionally RM  :P) and a few others are honest people that have ideological differences with me but in my opinion are completely reasonable and fun to debate with. There are others, though, that are just so eaten up, and to be fair who believe the same about me and a few others who share my ideological views, that every attack on their politician is personal.

Guido, new meds? Or did you hydrate today and are thinking somewhat clearer?

BTW, Mark Halperin was speaking about the way POTUS OBAMA came across in his press conference yesterday.
He did not call him a Dick....he stated he came across as rather a dick. I agree with his take. Too bad "Dick" is an unacceptable term to MSM. At least he did not call him a "Jacka$$" like Rush.

No one needs to engage in petty name calling. Especially when qualifying the president. He does a fine job in qualifying himself without assistance.
