Title: Verizon coverage in Tulsa
Post by: jne on June 16, 2011, 03:51:02 PM
Any one else on Verizon network having issues lately?  My wife and I have both been struggling with my voice and data coverage dropping out (not working more often than working) since last weekend.  Seems to have the most difficulty at my home (I live in Mid-town).  I called on Sunday I think and they acknowledged a network problem and that they had another report.   Then I called again on Tuesday to let them know there was no change.  It seems if I can't get coverage consistently in the middle of town that there has to be a LOT of people complaining.  They informed me that I should expect 5-7 days before it was resolved!

I have a Verizon cell phone and it works good here. I still have my Columbus, Ohio area code and the phone works fine. I have a 5 year old Motorola Verizon phone.

I haven't noticed any issues with Verizon lately.  Your phone maybe?

Seems to be resolved the last few days.  Doubt its the phone. My wife has identical issues - both droid x.  Verizon techs admitted to a network problem. Hope this time the fix holds up.

The Verizion phones need to be up-dated every 30 days or so, at least mine does, I failed to do so once  and found out the phone was not taking incoming calls, but that problem has been solved. I have a older Motorola phone and other than minor issues I had no other problems.

You mean those old bag phones still work on the cell networks of today?
