I hesitated going to a public forum with this but here goes.
Does anyone know of a reasonably priced veterinarian here in Tulsa that will take payments? I have a wonderful senior dog that needs some medical care. The Vet clinic that I went to for over 20 yrs and in the past I have spent probably thousands of dollars at this particular clinic will not help me out and take payments. I fell onto hard times in the past couple of years but have turned things around. This and some other Veterinary clinics won't take anything but a load of cash and credit cards I am not going down that road again. I can set up a payment plan just cannot afford at this time to plunk down a wad of cash. All I get told is to apply for care credit or get a credit card. For one thing I get turned down for credit and I will NOT fall into the credit trap again. Surely there is some Veterinary out here that will set up some kind of payment plan. Please do not bash me or tell me to give the dog up or put him to sleep I don't need that just point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.
I do not know of any one vet in particular, but here is a link that has several suggestions -

Also, I don't know if they have any different policies as a whole, but we use Tracei Holder, DVM at VCA Woodland Central. She is an amazingly caring and compassionate vet (called us every day almost for 2.5 weeks while our cat was dealing with a complicated abscess). The pet's first visit is free when you print a coupon from their website. You may have your dog seen by her and see if she has any suggestions for his care going forward - as an associate, she may have some sway in how payment is dealt with.

All I can say is to keep looking around or ask people you see with pets if they know anyone. The same problem can happen with a dentist, if you have a tooth problem and no insurance it's tuff finding a dentist who does not want cash up front.
If I remember correctly, Cedarwood takes payment plans. You might try calling them, very nice people.
There is a place on 11th a little past Yale that takes payments: Acadia Veterinary Hospital Inc (918) 834-3304
My only advice is make sure they follow up on any scripts. If the lap tech or whom ever doesn't know what your talking about talk tot he vet that saw you. The Vets here are great do a great job know there stuff. The Techs killed my dogs by not giving my SO the scripts for antibiotics after her surgery. Told her she didn't need em. About two mouth latter she was lethargic and would not get up. She passed away at the vets. They tried to save even got mad at us for not giving her the meds. Even billed us, until we mentioned that the vet tech would not give her the meds. Hard way to learn. Like I said no the vets fault and they are a part of the human society and will be who they recommend.
