"An attorney for Lynnette Dixon filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the Tulsa Public Schools police chief, alleging he caused her severe emotional distress and that he intentionally interfered with a contractual relationship for an email he sent following her arrest in March."
If she amends her suit to include TPS, where does the money come from? When you sue regular police, it comes from the Sinking Fund (property taxes) but I dont believe that's the case when campus police are sued.

They close a few more schools.
She should thank the TPS security chief for being an idiot. Because of his e-mail, all charges against her were dropped and she got her job back.
Her arrest caused the emotional distress. The e-mail relieved the stress.
I can't imagine her winning the case.
I think she illustrated here exactly why the TPD police chief said she ought to be fired in the first place. This will be a typical $50 to $100K Richard O'Carroll smash & grab job.

It's beginning to look like funding a duplicate police department is more expensive than they care to admit, but how can you put a price tag on keeping all those fights and bad news off the scanners and out of the news?
Have they instituted the new "Racial Matching" program at TPD yet, or when you call 911 do you have to order your officers A La Carte?
The next step would be the NAACP pushing for a racial match for 911 operators. I think this would require the institution of an auto-attendant.
"Thank you for calling 911. Your call is important to us. Please listen to the whole list of options as that your choices may have changed. Please press 1 if you are Asian-American. Press 2 if you are Hispanic. Press 3 if you are a Native American. Press 4 if you are African American. Press 5 if you are White. If you are the product of a mixed marriage please hold for the next available racial matching specialist to assist you with your choice."

I wonder what the NAAWP would think about such a thing. Let's check with members of the white officers coalition too.

I also think so.

Brilliant as always!!
Between the Rudick heavy-handedness, Project Poorhouse and TPS politics in general, almost 100 Tulsa teachers have resigned (that according to a friend who's a teacher).

Cool, shrinking payroll via attrition or new job opportunities for some teachers who might do a better job.
In the end it's the tax payers who get the long or short end of the stick depending on what side your on.

Well... I'm not sure creating that sort of work environment is a good strategy to attract the best teachers.

Until TPS lifts the Cone Of Silence, I cant help but suspect that the "computer hacking" the TPS athletic directors were just suspended for might have something to do with the publication of Rudick's smoking gun email,
but again, that is speculation.
