It was oddly disturbing. I tried to log on here only to be met with a message saying I was banned. Clearing the cookies didn't help. I never received a reply to an email to the info address or the FB page. It was and is a mystery.
Regardless, when I tried to log on this morning, it worked! I'm back.
Now. about that 'oddly disturbing.' I actually missed this place. I missed the dialog, the snark, and the (mostly) good-hearted conflict of ideas and viewpoints.
I was banned from only one other forum, one related to bicycling, after challenging conventional wisdom regarding infrastructure and transportation spending. Perhaps their leadership at the time was in awe of both my writing skill and towering intellect and felt their best course was to get rid of me rather than stand in my considerable shadow.
Gosh, I'm glad my sheer awesomeness doesn't make all of you feel inconspicuous by comparison.
It's good to be back, even if it's April second.
sounds familiar :D

Yeah, but you being banned had a valid reason.

What be that? I still don't know....was it for commenting in the third person or defending my stuff?

I'd paste some of your PM's but they might get me banned.
You deserved to be banned.

Send them over...I'd do a mea culpa if justified.

Had to be an accident or something. As I have said before, you are one of the more reasonable adversaries in this forum. I have yet to read anything you have posted that would warrant being banned.
Hmmm...do you guys really act that badly to be banned?
I bet the girls don't get banned easily...just sayin' ;D
FOTD/AOX, you get banned annually.
I'm less sure we have a Teatownclown/FOTD match than everyone else here. Not as whacko, not as strident.
Unless everyone else knows something I don't.
Ed's ISP gave him an IP address previously used by a certain bicycle afficionado.

Are we talking all four octets matched? Or was it a range match. The former case won't happen very often.

Dynamic IPs rotate, so its more like Russian Roulette.

Depending on the ISP, it's russian roulette with 255+ chambers and 1 bullet.

That explains SO much! But it feels kind of icky. Who knows where that IP address has been.

Whoa!!!!! Too early in the morning for that, I just lost my lunch and I haven't eaten yet.

Perhaps he should challenge Dewey in the next election. Imagine the free publicity Tulsa would get for electing an insane person to be the Mayor.
I thinking a Tay/Bikerfox ticket with Tay as mayor and Bikerfox as City Mgr. We could then install that guy that dresses like Jesus on the 71st and Memorial intersection to be our counselor at large.
Invite MTV to make it a reality show, and watch the tourism dollars roll in.
Too late. Tulsa has already done that. Repeatedly.
Hey, how come I never got banned!!?? Am feeling slighted here.
