Post by: nathanm on April 01, 2011, 09:02:53 AM
There seems to be a large yellow orb floating in the sky. Does anyone know what it is?

I have seen a similar object. Does it seem to move slowly from East to West at varying hours of the day ?
Unusual for the region at this time of Year.  ???

That's the day ball.
Some people and cultures have been known to worship it.

Hah! It was only intermittently present this morning, but it seems to be firmly entrenched in its lofty position this afternoon.

OK, bad reliability during the day.  Reliability varies wildly depending on observers location.  Pretty consistently gone at night though.

I'm going to seattle next week and I hear they never see it. Maybe I should take a pic with me to prove to them it does exist
